Alfred Stieglitz by Marius Zayas
Zayas was primarily a Dadaist. The reason I am posting this is to show how the object became broken down in a non-cubist way. Mathematic equations were a staple of Zayas art. Zayas portraiture followed this method:

The spirit of the individual was to be represented by algebraic formulae
his material self by “geometrical equivalents,” and
his initial force by “trajectories within the rectangle that encloses the plastic expression and represents life.”

Zayas was a fascinating art philosopher. I highly recommend reading a bit about him.
