Sunday Dalí: Polyhedron. Basketball Players Being Transformed into Angels (Assembling a Hologram - the Central Element), 1972

The players are from Yale and Columbia - two Ivy League schools not known for their basketball prowess. Notice Dalí’s 1935 painting “The Angelus of Gala” on the right, a further allusion to the dual nature of things.

This was the central element from Dalí’s first holograms. It is now part of a private collection.
